So you've reached level 45 in Aion 2. Congratulations – the real game begins now. If you're a new player wondering what to do every single day on your main character (and whether alts even matter), don't worry. This guide covers everything you need to know based on hundreds of hours of experience on the Korean and Taiwan servers. If you find yourself short on currency for gear upgrades or crafting materials, you can always buy Aion 2 Kinahto accelerate your progression and focus on enjoying the endgame content.
Before we dive in: the single best thing about Aion 2's endgame is that most activities are weekly, not daily. You are not forced to treat this game like a second job. Let's break it down.
When you reach level 45, the only thing you absolutely need to do every single day is your Duty Quests.
How many: 5 quests per day per server.
Why they matter: These quests reward you with crystals of different colors. You use these crystals to power up two crucial systems: your pet and mount system, and your genus system (another character power booster).
Alt limitation: You can only do 5 duty quests per server per day total. If you do them on your main, you cannot do them on an alt on that same server. If you do them on an alt, your main misses out. Always do them on your main.
Time investment: About 10 minutes per day.
Almost everything else in Aion 2 resets weekly, not daily. This is a blessing. You can run everything in one or two days and then be free for the rest of the week. Here is what you need to track weekly.
After hitting 45, your first goal is increasing your gear score. You do this by running dungeons step by step.
Start with 1-star dungeons like Kra Cave and Drair. These are your entry point. Then move to 2-star dungeons like Urugu Vron. Next comes 3-star dungeons, with the Fire Temple being particularly important because it rewards an extendable weapon. Finally, there are 4-star and 5-star dungeons, but these likely won't be available at global launch.
The key resource to track is your boss kill count, for example 35 kills per week. You have a limited number of boss loot opportunities each week across all dungeons. This count is shared across your main and alts.
Despite the name, these are not daily. You have 14 runs per week across all characters on a server. These runs are shared between three dungeons.
The first dungeon, Da Bio Research Base, rewards enhancement scrolls and stones for upgrading your gear. The second dungeon, Odelium Repository, gives fragments for the pet system. The third dungeon rewards Kina, the in-game currency, but this Kina is bound to your character.
You cannot run each dungeon 14 times. You have 14 total entries per week to distribute as you choose among these three dungeons.
These are the hardest dungeons. You have 28 boss kill counts per week. The rewards include cards for the Arcana system, which provide big boosts to your skill levels and character stats. You can do one run per day, two per day, or all 28 in one day. The choice is yours.
Nightmare is a solo boss-rush mode where you defeat bosses of increasing difficulty. Each season has a final main boss. For season one on the Korean and Taiwan servers, the boss was Zel. Season two and season three had their own main bosses.
The rewards include statues for the Panon system (which increases character power), currency for the trade shop, and even cosmetic outfits. Your attempts recharge over time, so you can do one or two runs per day, but it is not mandatory daily content.
This is another solo dungeon where you clear rooms of mobs. The rewards include Stigma Shards, which you use to increase the power of your stigmas. You have free entries per week – this is not daily content.
This is top-tier raid content: 8 players split into two parties of 4. You likely will not do this immediately at level 45 due to gear score requirements, but eventually you will want to run this weekly, not daily.
Aion 2 has open world PvP zones. Currently, there are two maps. One is a full flying zone. The other is a gliding zone, not a full flying zone.
Why should you go there? To farm Abyss Points. Abyss Points let you buy Abyss Gear, which cannot be purchased with real money – there is no pay-to-win here. You earn Abyss Points by defeating other players in PvP. You can also fly through rings to increase your flying speed and replenish your flying time.
There is no requirement to be here every day. Go when you want.
Shugo Games are mini-games. Currently, there are 10 types available.
You can play one game per day, or sometimes two games per day. Each game lasts only 15 minutes. The rewards include Abyss Points and materials to buy growth items, such as those for increasing your skills. You have a limited number of entries per week, so this is weekly content in practice.
The developers have intentionally nerfed alt gameplay. Aion 2 is not like Lost Ark where alts become a second job.
Here is the problem. Kina, the in-game currency, is now mostly bound to your character. Kina from 1-star and 2-star dungeons is 100% bound to that character. You cannot transfer it to your main. Kina from 3-star dungeons is 50% bound. Only 50% can go to your account warehouse. Kina from 4-star and 5-star dungeons is 100% unbound, but you need a very strong character – essentially a second main – to run those dungeons.
There is also the duty quest limitation. You have only 5 duty quests per server per day total. If you do them on your main, you cannot do them on an alt. If you do them on an alt, your main misses out.
The verdict is clear. You can make alts to try different classes, but it is not efficient or useful for farming for your main. Play 90 percent of your time on your main character.
There are several other activities you can enjoy without any daily pressure. The 1v1 PvP Arena is available whenever you like. The 4v4 PvP Arena is similar. The 8v8 Battlefield offers larger-scale combat. Seal Dungeons and Strongholds on the enemy faction map require using rifts to access them – this is covered in other guides. Finally, crafting is very important since the best PvE gear comes from crafting, but it is not a daily activity. Get into it early.
Every day – mandatory: Complete 5 Duty Quests. This takes about 10 minutes and rewards crystals for your pet and genus systems.
Every week – you choose when: Run dungeons from 1-star to 3-star for gear, Kina, and materials. Use your 14 total Daily Dungeon runs for enhancement items, pet fragments, and bound Kina. Complete your 28 Transcendence Dungeon boss kills for Arcana cards. Progress through Nightmare for statues, currency, and outfits. Run the Ascension Trial for Stigma Shards. Tackle the Abyssal Forge 8-player raid for top-tier loot. And play your limited Shugo Games entries for Abyss Points and growth items.
Optional at any time: Participate in open world PvP zones to farm Abyss Points for Abyss Gear. Jump into PvP arenas or the battlefield. Work on crafting for best-in-slot PvE gear.
Do not rush. You will not have a high gear score immediately. Run one dungeon tier at a time and work your way up.
Focus on your main. Alts are not worth the effort for farming. Play alts only if you want to experience other classes.
Use your weekly boss kill counts wisely. You have a limited number per week across dungeons, so plan your runs.
The pet system is crucial. There are nearly 300 mounts and pets in Aion 2. They are obtained by defeating monsters in the open world and dungeons. The stats they provide are massive and not pay-to-win.
Watch for the Arcana system. Cards from transcendence dungeons boost skill levels and stats. A dedicated guide is recommended for this system.
That is it for daily and weekly activities in Aion 2. Most things are weekly, not daily. Do your 5 duty quests each day, then run your weekly content whenever it fits your schedule. If you ever need extra resources or gear to keep up with the grind, you can find Aion 2 items for salee at MMOEXP to complement your progression. Enjoy the freedom, and good luck in your endgame journey.
