So how is this possible?
Understanding the Hard Requirement
Corporeal Beast access is gated behind Spirit of Summer and Summer's End. The critical detail is that Summer's End requires summoning a blue charm familiar, which has a hard Summoning requirement of 23. Unlike combat stats or skilling boosts, Summoning levels cannot be temporarily boosted to meet this requirement. If you do not have 23 Summoning, you simply cannot complete the quest-and therefore cannot enter the Corporeal Beast lair.
This also rules out several common theories:
Leeching kills from a main: Impossible, since the Ironman could not enter the arena.
Using a Deathtouched Dart (DTD): Also impossible, for the same reason.
Stat resetting via Nastroth: Nastroth can only reset Hitpoints, Prayer, and Defence. Even if Summoning resets were possible (they are not), an account would still need to have reached 23 Summoning at some point, which would be visible on account history and violate level 3 purity.
With modern rules and mechanics, the situation truly cannot occur organically.
The Key Explanation: Legacy Accounts and Historical Exceptions
The most credible explanation lies in legacy account history, particularly during periods where requirements, Ironman rules, or tracking systems were different-or outright broken.
There have been several windows in RuneScape's long history where edge cases like this could occur:
Pre-Ironman or Early Ironman Conversion
Some accounts completed content before Ironman mode existed or before certain restrictions were enforced, and were later converted into Ironmen. In rare cases, pets and titles obtained earlier were retained even when the account's stats were reset or constrained.
Quest Requirement Changes or Oversights
Over the years, Jagex has adjusted quest requirements, instancing rules, and access logic. There were periods where Corporeal Beast kills could be credited under unusual circumstances-such as being present during a kill without full quest completion, or via unintended instancing behavior.
Stat Rollbacks and Partial Resets
While Nastroth cannot reset Summoning, there have been historical Jagex-led rollbacks and account restorations following bugs or exploits. In rare cases, cosmetic unlocks like pets or titles were not removed even if the underlying stats no longer reflected eligibility.
Pet Reclaim and Log Persistence
Once a pet or title is unlocked, it is permanently associated with the account unless manually removed by Jagex. Even if the original conditions for obtaining it would no longer be possible, the unlock remains valid.
Why This Can't Be Recreated Today
Importantly, this is not something that can be replicated under current game rules. A modern level 3 Ironman cannot:
Reach 23 Summoning without leveling Combat
Enter the Corporeal Beast lair without completing Summer's End
Use external help, DTDs, or stat resets to bypass the requirement
Any such account you see today is effectively a historical artifact-a remnant of earlier systems, oversights, or one-time exceptions that no longer exist.
Final Verdict
While it looks impossible-and under current mechanics it absolutely is-the existence of a level 3 Ironman with cheap RuneScape gold the Corporeal Beast pet or title is best explained by legacy account history, not by modern gameplay methods. It's a rare example of RuneScape's long evolution leaving behind accounts that no longer fit today's rules, but remain perfectly legitimate.
In short: you're not missing a secret method. You're just looking at a piece of RuneScape history.
